Electrification is driving a powerful shift in energy markets, with rising power demand creating opportunities across renewables, storage, grid upgrades and related infrastructure. Wind and solar remain attractive because they can be deployed quickly and often compete well on cost, especially when paired with battery storage to improve reliability.
At the same time, aging grids need major investment to handle heavier loads from AI, data centers and broader electrification. Companies tied to cables, transformers and smart-grid systems are already seeing strong demand and long backlogs.
The outlook is promising, but investors should stay selective. Higher rates, input cost swings and policy changes have hurt some developers, while execution quality and balance-sheet strength matter more than ever.
